When I saw this picture on the internet, it totally nailed how I feel about 'vintage' clothing - vintage everything really... you just have to 'throw' yourself into it! It's a wonderful obsession in all honesty, especially when you find yourself confronted with that brilliant must have that most people probably haven't seen in decades ... ( except for your great aunt or your grandmother ). And then suddenly, and miraculously, you've paired it with your amazing self and an even more incredible outfit to which the world becomes your runway! And then of course, there's that special hidden vintage that you line your closets and dressing rooms with, arrayed with hat boxes, and bedazzled jewelry containers full of conversation pieces that you only need 'one of' with that perfect dress. And finally, there's the last category... those dream pieces that you may not even fit, but that you can reach up and rub every now and then with a wink in your eye like Dorothy from the Whiz and then click your heels and walk off, just happier that you even own it. Yessss! And lastly, if you find yourself in neither of the above categories, there is still time to catch up, time to shop, gather, cluster, wear, collect and appreciate. So enjoy.
